The paid trial is a one-hour, one-to-one Cambridge IGCSE lesson with a teacher assigned to your child. It starts from RM80 at the assigned teacher’s confirmed rate, and the rate is confirmed before the lesson.
This page explains the paid trial for families who want to enquire in BM or Chinese. The same page is available in those languages from the language switcher.
What exactly is the paid trial?
It is a taught class, not a talk about the service. Your child works with the teacher on a real topic for one hour, so you can judge the teaching from what your child experienced.
Because it is paid, the teacher plans the hour properly. You can help by sending a goal beforehand, as described in defining an observable trial goal.
How does it work, step by step?
- You send a WhatsApp message. Give your child’s subject, year and the date that matters. You can write in BM, Chinese or English.
- We assign a teacher. This is the team’s decision, based on the subject and your message.
- The trial rate is confirmed. It starts from RM80 and is confirmed before the lesson.
- The lesson happens online. One hour, one-to-one, with your child and the teacher.
- You decide. After the lesson, you and your child choose whether to continue. Later arrangements are discussed directly with the teacher.
The full outline is on how the trial works.
Which language will the trial be in?
There are two separate questions here. The first is the language you use to enquire and read about the service: we offer English, BM and Chinese on this site, and you can message in the one you prefer.
The second is the language of teaching during the lesson. Lessons are explained mainly in English, because Cambridge IGCSE exams are taken in English. Language subjects such as Malay or Chinese are taught in that language.
Read more in which language lessons are taught in.
What terms should you check in any language?
Whatever language you read in, confirm these before the lesson:
- The trial rate for your child’s assigned teacher
- The date and time of the class
- The subject and topic you want covered
- Who will pay and how, in your household
Keep the WhatsApp message as your record.
Can I look up an English term in BM or Chinese?
Yes, and it can help understanding. The English, BM and Chinese concept bridge shows one term in three languages with an example.
It is a study aid on this site, not a promise about the language a teacher uses in the lesson. It helps your child connect an idea they know in one language to the English word the exam uses.
