Our online teaching team is made up of experienced teachers who teach Cambridge IGCSE one-to-one. What they share is a way of working: they start from how the student thinks, find the exact step where understanding slips, and rebuild it before moving on.

This page describes the team by how it teaches. A real lesson shows you more than a profile can, and that is why the first step is a paid one-hour trial.

How do lessons work?

Each student works with an assigned teacher, online and one-to-one. The lesson runs on the student’s own questions, working and mistakes, rather than on a fixed script that every student gets.

The first part of a lesson is usually listening: what you understood, where you stopped, how you approached the question. The teacher then responds to your reasoning, asks you to try a similar question and corrects the thinking, not only the answer.

What do the teachers care about?

They care that you can do the question yourself, not that you can follow theirs. A lesson has worked if you can explain an idea back in your own words and attempt a new question alone.

They also care about fit. Some students want a quick, structured explanation and others want time to think aloud. A teacher adjusts pace and explanations to the student, and says when self-study would serve you as well as tuition.

How is a teacher assigned?

An experienced teacher is assigned based on your subject, level and what you describe. Tell us the specific difficulty: “six-mark Biology answers” or “simultaneous equations” gives us far more to work with than “I am weak”.

If your schedule or a learning need matters to you, say so in your enquiry. These are discussed in the WhatsApp conversation and confirmed before the lesson. How a teacher is assigned gives the fuller picture.

What stays outside a lesson?

A grade depends on the student’s own work, so none is promised. Assessed coursework and practical evidence stay your own work: teachers teach the method, explain what support is permitted and leave the authorship to you.

Academic integrity matters because the work has to be yours to count. Academic integrity and AI explains where the lines are.

What happens after the trial?

You and the teacher talk about whether and how to continue. The rate stays the same as the trial, the schedule is arranged with the teacher, and continuing is your decision. After the trial lists questions worth asking.

Is the team part of Cambridge or an exam centre?

No. The team is an independent group of teachers. Exam entry, results and access arrangements belong to your school or exam centre and to Cambridge, and exam administration explains who does what.

Is there a figure for the service as a whole?

The service-wide figure of 9,000+ students helped through our service is explained on its own page, including what it does not tell you. Read what the statement means before relying on it.

Would you like to teach with us?

Teachers who would like to express interest can read the join page. For everything else, start with the tuition overview, how it works or the about page.

You can also read what parents and students say in their own words.

Questions people ask

Who will teach me?

An experienced teacher from our team is assigned to you after you tell us your subject, level and what is going wrong. Their trial rate is confirmed before the lesson. After the trial, you and the teacher decide together whether to continue.

Can I see the teachers' profiles before choosing?

Teachers are assigned by the team rather than chosen from a listing. The aim is a teacher who can explain at your level. You can say what you need in your enquiry, such as your level or a learning need, and discuss it before the trial.

Do all teachers teach in English?

Cambridge IGCSE is examined in English, so lessons are built around that. Lessons are explained mainly in English, and language subjects such as Malay, Chinese, French and English are taught in that language. The language of the page you read does not change this.

What if the teacher does not suit me?

Say so after the trial and explain which part did not fit: pace, explanation, communication or level. If the teacher is not a good fit, a different teacher can be assigned. The trial exists so the question is answered on real teaching and not on a guess.
