Students in Sarawak can take online one-to-one Cambridge IGCSE tuition from wherever they live in the state. We are a team of teachers, and an experienced teacher is assigned to each student after a WhatsApp enquiry. The first step is a paid one-hour trial lesson, at the assigned teacher’s confirmed rate, starting from RM80.
Is this tuition fully online in Sarawak?
Yes. Every lesson happens on a device you already have, with a teacher who can see your working.
The town you live in does not limit your teacher, and travel does not eat into your study week. Our Malaysia coverage page explains the same approach for every state.
Which parts of Sarawak can enquire?
Any of them. The towns most students name are Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Bintulu, Samarahan, Sarikei, Sri Aman, Kapit, Mukah, Betong, Limbang, Lawas.
The districts we serve include Kuching, Bau, Lundu, Samarahan, Serian, Simunjan, Sri Aman, Lubok Antu, Betong, Saratok, Sarikei, Maradong and Daro. They also include Julau, Sibu, Dalat, Mukah, Kanowit, Bintulu, Tatau, Kapit, Song, Belaga, Miri, Marudi, Limbang, Lawas and Matu. The rest are Asajaya, Pakan, Selangau, Tebedu, Pusa, Kabong, Tanjung Manis, Sebauh, Bukit Mabong, Subis, Beluru and Telang Usan.
Sarawak runs from Kuching on the coast to Miri in the north and inland places such as Kapit and Belaga. That is why online lessons suit the state: the teacher’s location and yours no longer matter.
What should I prepare for lessons from Sarawak?
You need a steady connection and a quiet hour. Try these before the trial.
- Run a video call with a friend or relative at the hour you plan to study, not at a quieter time of day.
- Sit near the router, or use a wired connection if your device allows it.
- Keep a phone with mobile data charged, so you can switch if the home line drops.
- Have paper, a pen and your school notes ready for subjects where you write out working.
- Tell the teacher if your connection is unreliable so you can agree a plan together.
Students in interior districts may find that connection quality changes through the day. Check it yourself at the lesson hour, and raise it early rather than halfway through a topic.
How does scheduling work with Sarawak school life?
You and your teacher agree lesson times directly after the trial, around school hours, homework and family commitments.
Sarawak also has its own state holidays, such as Gawai Dayak. Mention them when you plan lessons, so a revision week does not clash with a festival or a long journey home.
What should I ask my own exam centre?
Registration, entry, results and any access arrangements belong to your exam centre and Cambridge, so ask them directly. Useful questions for a student in Sarawak:
- Which Cambridge IGCSE subjects and syllabus codes does the centre enter students for?
- What are the registration deadlines and fees for private candidates, if you are not at a school that enters you?
- Where will I sit each paper, and how far is that venue from home?
- When do practical or coursework components, if your subject has them, take place?
The exam guide explains how a Cambridge entry works in general, and the Cambridge website is the place to confirm the current syllabus for your year.

How do I start?
Send a WhatsApp enquiry with your subject, your level and the town you study from. A teacher is assigned, the rate is confirmed before the lesson, and the paid one-hour trial follows.
Ongoing lessons continue at the same rate, and the schedule is agreed with the teacher after the trial. Read how it works and the trial details first if you want the full sequence, or see all subjects.
